Principal's Message
Round Meadow Colts-
May and June are finally here! We have a lot packed into the final few weeks of school. The weather is changing and students are enjoying playing volleyball at recess and Coach Baker will begin running kickball games to help our students with the Staff vs. Student kickball game in June. The Makerspace has been open for the past three weeks and it is wonderful to see our students explore and have fun with their friends in this creative space. As the school year comes to a close, I want to thank you for your partnership and support in helping to make Round Meadow a truly amazing Elementary School. Our school is fortunate to have some of the best families around. I hope you have a wonderful summer vacation and I look forward to seeing you again in the Fall. Enjoy the last few weeks of the 23-24 School Year!

Mental Health Awareness Month, observed in May, aims to raise awareness about mental health issues and reduce the stigma surrounding them. Throughout the month, organizations, advocates, and individuals work together to promote understanding, provide support, and encourage conversations about mental health. It serves as a reminder of the importance of prioritizing mental well-being and seeking help when needed.
May is also National Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. We celebrate the rich cultural diversity and contributions of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
It honors their vital role in shaping the country's history, culture, and achievements. Throughout the month, various events, exhibits, and educational programs highlight the heritage, traditions, and experiences
of these communities.
Thank you to all of the Round Meadow families who hosted a booth at our first ever Around The World Cultural Fair on March 22. It was amazing to see all of the time and effort everyone put into showcasing their country, and we are looking forward to this becoming an annual RM event.

to explore the space, make origami, and play games. We are currently scheduling so that kids can visit by grade level and class during lunch times.
Huge thanks to Linda Fine and Michael Black for their creative design. It looks amazing! This was a major project funded by the RMPFA this year, and it will bring joy to our school for years to come. Makerspace
will be open during Open House for all to take a look!
Be on the look out for opportunities to help in the space and times to volunteer or bring in STEAM projects. Email [email protected] to get involved.
Round Meadow Garden
This past month, the garden was open during recess and students were invited to plant several different spring and summer vegetables. Students who have been visiting the Makerspacce have also been helping to water
the garden beds and trees. Kindergarten and TK classes were invited to visit and explore the garden through an Earth Week inspired scavenger hunt. We are excited to watch our garden grow!
RMPFA would like to thank Jessica Robertson and Srija Vangala for establishing the garden this year and thank you to all of our parent volunteers who helped it flourish!
